게이코아베 시그니처 모델타악기 말렛

게이코 아베(Keiko Abe)와의 긴밀한 공동 작업으로 설계된 시그너처 시리즈 타구봉은, 고도의 테크닉이 필요한 곡 작업 시 연주자의 테크닉과 악기의 음색을 최대한 이끌어 내도록 설계되었습니다. 상급 연주자에게 적합한 이 타구봉은 기본 타구봉보다 무겁습니다. 그렇기 때문에 마림바의 톤 바가 현재까지도 쉽게 낼 수 없는 사운드를 풍성하게 만들어 내도록 공명할 수 있습니다.

손잡이

손잡이는 다른 Yamaha 타구봉*보다 긴 1-1/8”(3cm)이기 때문에 현대 음악에서 요구되는 그 이상의 사운드를 만들어 낼 수 있습니다. 등나무(MKA)와 자작나무(MKAW)의 두 종류 재질로 만들어진 손잡이가 출시되며 폭넓은 연주 스타일에 맞춰 호환 가능합니다. * MKA(W)-02와 MKA(W)-01 제외.

둥근 실이 감긴 헤드는 기본 타구봉보다 무겁지만 충분히 섬세한 표현이 가능합니다. 또한 손잡이의 최적의 유연성을 얻기 위해서 각 타구봉에 사용되는 자재 선택 시 무게와 손잡이 두께의 최적의 균형을 고려하였습니다.

[MKA(W)-01] MKA(W)-01 투톤 타구봉을 사용할 때 터치의 차이가 톤에서 분명하게 나타납니다.

[MKA(W)-02/03] MKA(W)-02와 MKA(W)-03은 빠르고 복잡한 타구봉 연주를 위해 짧은 손잡이를 사용합니다. 겉으로는 구분하기 어렵지만 타구봉 헤드에 더해진 무게감 덕분에 타악기 연주자는 연주에 더 큰 가능성을 얻게 됩니다.

[MKA(W)-04/05/06/07/S7] MKA(W)-04/05/06/07/S7는 중심이 고무 튜브로 감긴 Yamaha 전문가 시리즈를 바탕으로 만들어졌습니다. 이 디자인은 감도가 향상되어 더욱 폭넓게 표현할 수 있는 약간 다른 터치를 제공합니다.

전 세계에서 열리는 연주회에서 자주 볼 수 있는 게이코 아베는 자신의 창조적인 파워, 예리한 감성, 고도의 테크닉을 특별히 결합한 연주를 선보이며 청중들을 끊임없이 놀라게 합니다. 이러한 자질 덕분에 마림바를 완벽한 콘서트 악기로서 개발하는 데 주요한 역할을 맡을 수 있었습니다. 훌륭한 레퍼토리로 구성된 그녀의 연주는 솔로 콘서트에서부터 실내악과 즉흥곡까지 다양합니다. 그녀의 작품이 마림바 문학에 기준이 되는 동시에 많은 작곡가들은 자신의 새로운 작품을 그녀에게 헌정합니다. 그녀는 이제까지 셀 수 없이 많은 새로운 작품에 영감을 불어넣고 공연을 해왔습니다.

일본 도쿄의 도호음악원(Toho Gakuen School of Music)에서 명예교수로 재직했을 뿐만 아니라 초대 강사로서 인기가 많으며 북미, 유럽, 아시아의 100여 개가 넘는 선두적인 음악원에서 마스터 클래스를 열었습니다. 50개가 넘는 음반을 발매했고, 1993년 퍼커션 아트 소사이어티의 명예의 전당(Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame)에 오른 첫 번째 여성이라는 영예를 얻는 등 수많은 상을 수상했습니다.
