Yamaha Nuage Brings Perfect Post Performance To Madrid’s DRAX audio

During the 1970s, 80s and 90s Eurosonic studios, in the centre of Madrid, was one of Spain’s premier recording studios. Since 2011 it has been given a new lease of life by DRAX audio, the latest technical upgrade featuring the installation of a Yamaha Nuage recording and post-production system.

UDX Conference and UDX Gallery, Tokyo

Akihabara UDX opened in Tokyo’s high-tech Akihabara district in 2006, with restaurants, shops, conference rooms, an event space, theater, clinic, parking, and more. Its all-embracing array of functions and spaces has made it a new Akihabara symbol. In May 2017, 11 years after the complex’s initial opening, the UDX Conference rental meeting rooms on the 6th floor and the UDX Gallery event space on the 4th floor were renovated and updated with the installation of five Yamaha TF1 digital mixing consoles and two Yamaha MRX7-D signal processors. To learn about the system and the process that led to adopting Yamaha equipment for the installation, we spoke to Mr. Takuya Akasaka of INFIELD Inc., the company that operates the facility, and Mr. Eiji Kawashima of ESPATECHNO,Co.,Ltd. the company responsible for the audio/video system.

Battisti’s Brilliance Commemorated With Yamaha RIVAGE PM7

2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Lucio Battisti, one of Italy’s best-loved singer/songwriters. His legacy is kept alive by singer Gianmarco Carroccia who, in late April, marked the anniversary with a live performance of 30 of Battisti’s best-known songs. A Yamaha RIVAGE PM7 digital mixing system mixed the show.

Yamaha PM7: Antidote For Poison Tour

Front of house engineer Mark Woodcock has used the Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 Digital Audio Console on several tours, and now, the current Poison “Nothing But A Good Time” tour is his second gig using the new RIVAGE PM7 Digital Audio Console. “I had the PM7 out earlier in the year on a Bush run,” states Woodcock. “Initially, CLAIR GLOBAL asked if I wanted to try it, and I did about 20 dates with Bush and just loved it. That was the first time mixing a full band going through it, and it was awesome. Now, out with Poison, I asked CLAIR to hold the setup I had on Bush to use for the Poison tour.”
